Neurophysiological Monitoring in Canada
Welcome to the home of the Canadian Association of Neurophysiological Monitoring (CANM). Established in 2008, CANM is a medical association dedicated to promoting the field and profession of intraoperative neurophysiological monitoring (IOM) in Canada. IOM is an evolving field of allied healthcare, vital to protecting the nervous system of patients undergoing surgery. This crucial adjunct to perioperative procedures is progressively becoming embraced by surgical teams across the country. Evidence supporting the clinical use of IOM has resulted in increasing demand for IOM staff and services across Canada.
