About CANM

In 2008, the first Canadian Intraoperative Monitoring Symposium took place in Toronto. At that meeting, the concept of CANM was launched and the Canadian Association of Neurophysiological Monitoring (CANM) Steering Committee was formed. Since then, CANM has become incorporated (with bylaws) and we have hosted two more symposia. We are currently investigating the possibility of starting a surgical neuromonitoring course (offered through university or college). In this way we work to ensure a high standard of care for patients receiving our services.

Our annual conference has become recognized as one of the best intraoperative monitoring educational events in North America not only because of its high quality presentations but also because of its highly interactive format. This year the Symposium is back in Toronto (September 30-October 1, 2011) so please attend.
